What Is CBD?

What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, one of the naturally occurring compounds found in cannabis. CBD is different from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), although a product may contain other cannabinoids depending on its formulation.

Product labels matter

The words CBD oil, isolate or gummy describe a format, not a complete specification. Important details can include the amount of CBD, other cannabinoids, carrier ingredients, serving size, batch number and testing method.

CBD is not risk-free

CBD can cause unwanted effects and may interact with medicines. Individual circumstances matter. Seek advice from an appropriately qualified health professional rather than relying on general website content.
